Kalo published in CLOG Journal

An essay entitled, "Urban Prisonscapes" by M.S. in Architecture student, Ammar Kalo, has been accepted in the architectural journal CLOG.

In the essay, Kalo discusses prisons as a typology and references the Manhattan Island Prison, famously depicted in the movie, "Escape from New York," considering how dystopian visions of future cities in pop-culture movies could be utilized as extra-disciplinary solutions for re-examining existing architectural typologies.

CLOG explores, from multiple viewpoints and through a variety of means, a single subject particularly relevant to architecture now.
