Taubman College M.Arch. student work published in PLAT Journal

The recently released PLAT 3.0 – Collective Disruption, features work from Taubman College graduate students and supervising faculty.

"An Architecture of the Territory," co-authored by Assistant Professor Kathy Velikov and Alexander D’Hooghe (MIT), discusses the polemical positioning of the Fall 2011 Expertise Workshop (run by D’Hooghe with Velikov) as part of Arch 552 Design Studio - Networks: Crossing Infrastructures.

"Groundswell: Adaptive Land Morphologies & Soft Infrastructures" by Christopher Holzwart (M.Arch.'11) describes his graduate thesis work, undertaken with advisors Associate Professor Geoffrey Thün, and Assistant Professors Kathy Velikov and Catie Newell.

PLAT is an independent journal published by students at Rice School of Architecture whose purpose is to shift architectural discourse by stimulating new relationships between design, production and theory.
