McEwen's 'Primate' on display at Akademie Schloss Solitude

V. Mitch McEwen, the Charles Moore Visiting Assistant Professor at Taubman College, is part of Architecture &, an exhibition, performance, and series of events taking place at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Germany.

McEwen's work is part of the "Design Process" section of the exhibition and is described as follows:

"With the prototype of an interactive wall system using the specially developed software Primate, Mitch McEwen shows a transparent surface, of which the structure responds to hand movements, and which can deform, open or close depending on the gesture. Thanks to this technology, gesture, lighting, density, and transparency come along with individual and social experience."

The exhibition will run November 22, 2013 to January 22, 2014. Visit the Akademie Schloss Solitude website for more information.
